Overview
Escape Hobart for an active day of rainforest, waterfalls and local Tasmanian flavours. Explore Mount Field National Park on foot, walking beneath towering eucalypts and ancient rainforest to Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Lady Barron Falls.
The afternoon becomes a relaxed Derwent Valley Tasting Trail, with the chance to sample Tasmanian cider, local wine, berries and seasonal produce. With a maximum of just 13 guests and a nature-based local guide, the experience stays personal, relaxed and social.
The walking is active and rewarding without being an extreme hiking experience, with plenty of time to stop, take photos and appreciate the rainforest around you.

Important Information
Approximate tour time: 8:30 am start, arriving back in Hobart around 4:30 pm. CBD pickups are available before 8:30 am.
This tour operates seasonally from October to May. Tasting stops vary according to seasonality, availability and the day's conditions.
This is an active walking tour, so a reasonable level of fitness is required. Some tracks can be uneven, wet or muddy, so comfortable walking shoes are essential.
There is a picnic lunch break during the day. Lunch is not included, and there will be a stop where you can pick up food and snacks for the day.
Bring comfortable walking shoes, a waterproof jacket, water, sunscreen, a daypack and weather-appropriate clothing.
