A Private Balloon Flight for Up to Three

Make your special occasion unforgettable with a private hot air balloon flight for up to three people. With the basket reserved for your group, you can share the peaceful lift-off, the gentle drift across the Canterbury Plains and sweeping views towards Mt Hutt and the Southern Alps together.

Your experience begins early in the morning in Methven, where you’ll meet the pilot and crew and watch the balloon being prepared. After a safety briefing, you’ll climb aboard and rise into the sky as the landscape wakes below. The flight follows the breeze, so each journey has its own route and views.

Whether you’re celebrating an anniversary, planning a proposal, marking a milestone or simply looking for a memorable adventure together, a private flight gives you space to enjoy the moment at your own pace. Our friendly crew will guide you through the experience from preparation to landing.

Private flights are for up to three passengers and are subject to suitable weather conditions. Allow around four hours for the full experience, including preparation, the flight and return arrangements.
